Conference and Workshop Funding Information

Student Alliance will open up conference funding starting September 15th and closing on October 22nd. All students who apply will need to fill out a completed funding proposal form located here. Please review the funding process and guidelines sections on this website before applying.

A) You are only allowed to turn in one application per grant cycle. For example, you can turn in one application for summer conferences.

B) If you have already received conference funding application for a previous funding cycle and been granted it, you are not allowed to retroactively apply for another conference funding for the same semester that you were granted funding for. For example, if you applied and received funding for a previous semester’s conference work, you can not apply for conference funding for the previous semester. You are not allowed to have two conference funding applications that are granted for the same semester.

C) Please read through all of the funding proposal section of this website before turning in your application. Please turn in appropriate receipts meeting or exceeding the amount that you are requesting.

D) Be aware that conference money will be distributed as follows:
     $125 for conference and/or workshop attendance nationally
     $250 for conference attendance internationally
     $250 for conference presentation nationally
     $500 for conference presentation internationally

E) Workshop funding will be granted out for a maximum of $125 or attending a conference nationally. Workshop funding will be granted $250 for internationally presentation.

Deadline for Spring 2011 Conference and Workshop funding is March 15th 2011. You can drop off your application in the drop box outside of room 401 marked Student Alliance. You can also email me your application at studentalliance 'at' ciis.edu. If you are emailing it please use the subject line: SPRING 2011 CONFERENCE FUNDING APPLICATION. Only completed applications turned in on time will be accepted, no exceptions. You will be notified by no later than April 20nd if your application has been accepted. When you have been accepted, you will need to fill out a funding receipt form with receipts that meet or exceed the amount granted.
